My new hobby - engineering grow boxes
Here is a cool image of a beautiful plant grown using ordinary compact fluorescent light bulbs. I was quite impressed with the quality of flowers produced by this method, given that CFL light bulbs have a reputation of producing stretchy plants and airy buds.
My ideal grow cab will have a 12v 4-pin Molex Power Supply with Computer case fans, digital 3.5MM PC fan controller or thermostat sensor chip, be made of wood, have a mini hydroponic system or soil, along with LED or CFL lighting. In addition, I have the schematics outlined for an activated carbon scrubber to control the odor and vent the heat outside of the box. As the system grows, I want to implement a controlled Co2 PPM injection system using paintball or pellet gun canisters. This will be a costly upgrade and will boost flower growth significantly.
